SPOTLIGHT: Crushin' on Skulls

I hold a strong affinity for skull designs in all form. It's almost a guilt pleasure, of some sorts. Not quite a hobby, but definitely collected in forms of clothing, art and knick-knacks. To some, a skull describes the dark and ugly - quite simply death. Yes, you can't ignore the obvious truth of a skull picturing death. Me, I embrace it. There is a certain serenity in that truth.

Sharing with you the other side of this dark object.

The elegance, the quirky and the bold.

House of Spencer

Jack came home

we feel in love with Jack

Jack got big.

I quit my job

I went through some health problems

I got better

our lives changed in one phone call

- we can have children!

I started exercising again

silently thanked the universe for yoga

Hubs continues to have success

(coaching the CofC tennis teams)

We're almost married 3 years

we love each other more than ever

I see more and more of my best friend

- my sister -

we treasure weekend visits

I saw my other best friend after a year apart

- for 8 hours

The heat is turning up in the Lowcountry

the Summer of Charleston is here

Life is Good.

Don't you love it

Don't you love it when you're searching for something ordinary, something you look for everyday or something that simply doesn't pull you off the beaten track. And then suddenly, you click one button too many and you are standing somewhere you were not expecting at all. And while you're standing in that not expected at all place, you discover something out of the ordinary. Something you were not looking for. Something way off the beaten track.

A soulful singer and a new voice to add to my music soul.

Enter, Kimbra.

Bon Iver Justin Vernon

his voice is like a siren in a dark and lonely night. it wakes you from slumber, demands your attention and then slowly puts you back into a sweet slumber.
